This project will be led by a team of researchers from the National Centre for Audiology and the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging. Together, we study hearing aid fitting, healthy aging, and physical fitness in older adulthood. Our team includes Dr. Susan Scollie, an audiologist and expert in hearing technologies and hearing aid fitting, Dr. Anita Christie, a kinesiologist and expert in neuromuscular function and the measurement of functional fitness in older adults, and Dr. Angela Roberts, an expert in cognition and aging with expertise in the study of real-world interventions and healthy aging. These investigators will work with Mr. Mohamed Rahme, a doctoral candidate with expertise in hearing accessibility and fitness assessment, as well as Dr. Paula Folkeard, who manages clinical trials and studies of hearing technologies at the NCA.
