Dr. Chizuko (Chiz) Tamaki is Professor of Audiology in the School of Human Sciences and Services at Gallaudet University. She is a clinician-teacher-researcher, with expertise in vestibular and balance assessments. At Gallaudet University, she actively works with community members in American Sign Language (ASL). Her research focus includes ensuring access to vestibular and balance assessments for Deaf individuals and improving quality of life for aging Deaf individuals.
Dr. Tamaki serves on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Audiology (3 year elected term). She is a reviewer for the Journal of the American Academy of Audiology, as well as for Ear and Hearing.
